Northern maker receives Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers accolade.

NCFM member Suzanne Hodgson has received a special commendation from the Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers(WCFM) at this year’s Celebration of Craftsmanship and Design(CCD). Every year the WCFM sponsor a prize for the best designed piece of furniture at the exhibition. This year’s prize went to the Beam Cabinet from Cato Design. However Suzanne was selected for a special commendation for her River Console. This unusual and immaculate piece, in scorched oak and ziricote, was also recently seen at the NCFM MAKERS exhibition at The Cube in Manchester.

Suzanne headed a strong showing from northern maker at this year’s exhibition with a total of five NCFM members making the trip down to Cheltenham.
