“Beating Wings”, marks a conscious move into a more sculptural line of work for designer-maker David, fusing geometry with organic forms. This limited edition coffee table creates a mesmerizing sense of movement and conjures up different images with every angle it’s viewed from. David commented, “This piece has had me excited and tense in equal amounts over the last few months. From the birth of the idea until about 95% completion of the piece I knew that technically it may not come together, due to the complexity of the design. Slight imperfections could creep into the 51 layers and create too much twist, thus leaving me with a hobbling coffee table.
