The accent here is on minimalism. The drawers were initally commissioned as bedside cabinets, but developed into a suite of bedroom furniture. The vertical line of the oak grain, cut by the horizontal walnut sections, is striking. The drawer fronts are mitred so that, when closed, they look like blocks stacked on top of each other.
